Two ways to speed dial your contacts

The N9 lacks of a speed dial option. There is a possibility to set contacts as favorites, what doesn't satisfy every users needs. However, this is no problem since there are speed dial applications available, which cater for all tastes. AllBoutN9 picked out two of them, MeeFastDial and contactLaunch. Which one suits you best?

MeeFastDial

MeeFastDial by Arkim Bukin is a small application for up to 12 speed dial contacts (change amount in Settings/Applications/MeeFastDial). Those contacts can be taken from the address book or added manually - both by click&hold an empty contact field within the application.
Once contacts are set up its very easy to make a call. Just click once on a contact to start a call immediately. In addition MeeFastDial offers easy access to inbuilt dialer and call history.

Arkim Bukin's application scores with great usability and intuitive user interface. It's very simple to add and modify phone numbers as well as doing calls.

Call contacts just with a click / By click&hold you have more options / Edit or add new contacts

ContactLaunch

What could be faster than calling a person straight from the application grid? ContactLaunch by outofbounds.gr offers exactly that - chosen contacts appear as an icon next to other applications. Great idea, isn't it?
The application itself is just there to create or remove contact icons and choose their primary phone number. Unfortunately you cannot search for your desired contacts but have to scroll all the way through the list to find them.

This is a very creative way of fast dialing and with the new folder options of MeeGo PR 1.2 there is no risk that your application screen gets overfilled.
