It is very customizable, has a beautiful user interface and offers special addons like a lock screen widget. Next to the actual weather it shows you a forecast of 8 days, by clicking on them you get further information about humidity, wind speed/direction, sunrise/sunset and day/night weather.

Other options in settings are: Measurements units (temperature unit, wind speed units, pressure units), Appearance (read more below) and Update. To save battery and data, set update to never (manually) or 4h.
The appearance options are the centerpiece of MeeCast. It offers you a big set of different icons you can choose from, all looking great. Next to that you can activate Widget in events view (AccuWeather must be deleted to make it work*!) and Widget in LockScreen (see picture).

Finally there's the question: MeeCast or AccuWeather? I think there is no answer. MeeCast scores with a nice, fast and clean user interface (very customizable and without advertisement compared to AccuWeather) where AccuWeather provides some more general infos and statistics which aren't though necessary for every user.
Best way to get an answer is by trying out both of them...

*To use all features of MeeCast, the native AccuWeather app must be deleted. In case you want to reinstall it, you find it here: Backup AccuWeather
