About Extraplugins and how to install them

MSN Messenger on Nokia N9 |
No additional messenger application is needed - Extraplugin uses the integrated messaging services of the N9. This means all added accounts can be used like Skype or Gtalk. Contacts from those clients are merged with phone Contacts after first log-in.
The flawless system-integration of instant messaging is amazing. Although it can be that your list of phone contacts gets incredibly long. Sending media files isn't supported.
Extraplugins is again available in Nokia store after it disappeared for some weeks. This happened due to a mistake by the Nokia Store team which saw an unjustified risk in this application. So don't worry to install this application, it works very well and has way over 15'000 happy users. Nevertheless there are some important steps you need to follow to make Extraplugins work the right way.
1. IMPORTANT: Make sure any other 3rd-party plug-ins are deleted! If you already have Yahoo! etc. in your Accounts, they need to be de-installed.
2. Download Extraplugins from Nokia Store (or .deb-file and start setup - don't know how to do that? Read here)
3. Reboot your N9 straight after installation is completed
4. Select

Use instant messaging accounts
Extraplugins can be used the same way as Skype or GTalk:
1. Klick on the status menu and Availablility
2. There you can log-in to any account you have setup
3. Contacts can be found in phone Contacts - to find your MSN/Yahoo!/... contacts click options

4. Start texting to an online contact
IMPORTANT: In case you want to remove Extraplugins from your N9, make sure you delete any account first.
