Personalize your Twitter experience with qNeptunea themes

QNeptunea by Tasaku Suzuki is an alternative Twitter application for Nokia N9. About 2 months ago, AllBoutN9 compared 3 different Twitter applications (read here). Despite the early version (v0.0.13) qNeptunea could win the comparison and we announced that themes would be available in future releases.

The option to switch themes has become reality since the most recent versions. We'll have a short insight on different themes and show, how to adapt them.

How to add new themes?

The option to switch and add new themes is a little bit hidden in Settings. Let us explain how to apply a different look with the help of our two own themes we contributed to qNeptunea ("blueNeptunea") and "webTwitter"):

  1. Go to qNeptunea Settings
  2. Tap Heart button
  3. Click on a Theme you like
  4. Download and Apply theme

Over 24 themes available

The variety of themes is huge. Every creation has own font colors, wallpaper and splash-screen (application start-up picture). Especially Twitter user @Reflektortweet is very active and provides regularly new theme. If you like a certain theme you can click the retweet-button, findable in every theme preview.

Example of themes
"Carbon", "Water'n'Bubbles" and "Angel Eyes" are just a small selection of available themes.

With some basic knowledge in graphic design it is pretty easy to create your own theme. @Reflektortweet wrote a very well explained tutorial on talk.maemo.org
