Unfortunately N9 (and Symbian) users had to find out that Microsoft/Nokia silently shut down their popular Internet Radio app.
On Symbian you get a "Service not working" message but the N9 application suffers from crashing right at start up.
Thanks to developer marxian, Nokia's latest move shouldn't hurt to much as he provided a nice replacement.
You might know developer marxian from other well knows N9 applications like cuteTube. His latest work is called cuteRadio which he decided to finish and publish just after Nokia's radio streaming service stopped working.
CuteRadio is a user friendly application in typical MeeGo Harmattan design and has following features:
- Around 30,000 stations included. Stations can be edited, and additional stations can be added manually.
- Search stations and browse by genre, country and language.
- Access recently played stations.
- Add stations to your favourites.
- Sleep timer.
Official announcement can by found at TMO: cuteRadio thread
The initial release of cuteRadio is available at OpenRepos (or via Warehouse app):
