Repair push notification services

Applications like Nokia Pulse and ebuddy XMS use push techonolgy to inform you about new events. Both applications aren't yet available as a final release and push messages of ebuddy XMS didn't always work reliable so far. MeeGo Harmattan update PR 1.2 should improve that experience - but some users confront a big disappointment after the update; push seems not to work anymore at all... But of course there is a way to fix that.


You need about 10 minutes and the newest MeeGo Harmattan update (PR 1.2).

1. Close ebuddy XMS or Nokia Pulse


2. Remove Nokia account: Go to Accounts/Nokia Account and choose delete (make sure you write down or remember your account informations!)


3. Reboot your device (turn it off, wait about 20-30 seconds and turn it back on)

4. Recreate your Nokia account: Go to Accounts/Add account/Nokia Account


5. Reboot your device again

6. Make sure push notifications are activated: Go to Settings/Notifications/Notifications/Push notifications - activate them all.

7. Use ebuddy XMS or Nokia Pulse again...hopefully with push notifications.
