The problem seems to be connected to "The Other Half" (TOH). Via NFC the phone determines what Other Half you're using at the moment. Due to a bug, the phone enables constantly a NFC connection to the Other Half (1 time when switching the back cover should be enough) and empties the battery even in standby mode.
You can disable the service via terminal. But in case you don't want to risk using developer mode, there is a very simple, practical alternative. You only need some:
1. Aluminium foil (for example the one you find in your kitchen)
2. Some sticky tape (scotch tape)
Remove The Other Half from your Jolla and find the spot where the NFC chip is installed (see picture). Now put a small piece of aluminium foil on top of it to cover that part of TOH and finally fix it with some tape.
Thanks to that small piece of aluminium which interrupts the connection, your Jolla's battery life should improve a lot (at least until an official bug-fix). What are your experiences?
