Nokia kept their word and brings us video call today. Although not for Skype like expected, but for Google's GTalk. What you need is PR 1.2 and a ready Google Chat account on your N9 - and of course some contacts who use the same service.How does it work?
Be sure you have PR 1.2 installed - else you cannot download the application from Nokia Store. You also need to have a Google account set up. with "Google Talk" activated (can be activated in account settings). After installing the add-on from Nokia Store your N9 will reboot automatically.
Now, while being online with Google Talk, you can choose an online contact and select Video Call as the desired call method.
Unfortunately there are not (yet) any official instructions or advices on how to use it.
So what will come next? Is Nokia working on a Skype version too? Or is their video call service to encrypted to make it possible? I'm sure we can expect more to come from Nokia (or 3rd party developers).
